It has been a long time since I have posted a “Sarah Amelia” centric blog. I must remedy that! We have taken so many pictures, and I have been trying to figure out how to put them together. Well, I will be 80 before I ever think of anything clever, so I am just going to go through a quick review of the summer. This is a Grandparent “must read” – LOL!
So, there is my sweet “little” baby! Isn’t she precious? I know you said YES! She seemed gigantic compared to Rachel Ann’s newborn size! Unlike Rachel, she was a good little eater and sleeper. I think the extra weight helped out with that.
Anyway, time didn’t stop for our household the way that it did when Rachel came home. In just a few weeks, Sarah was coming along with the rest of us to gymnastics competitions, the rodeo, wherever! Of course when babies are so little, they can’t do a whole lot. Eat, pee and poop, sleep (hopefully), cry..
I must say that Sarah has been pretty easy-going for the most part! She went through that wonderful “4th trimester” phase without a lot of incident. She cried so little and slept so well that Bryan thought something was wrong with her. I refused to let him make me worry about a perfect little angel baby! I think that God knows what each of us can endure, and He knew that I would not have been able to survive another colicky baby….
Just when I started to realize that I had hardly bought any new clothes for Sarah (didn’t really need to since I saved almost all of Rachel’s baby clothes), my family showered her with adorable baby clothes!
Here is a sampling….
Love the pictures keep them coming. Such a heart warming smile. Tell her grandma smiles too when she sees her pictures.
thanks!
She is absolutely too adorable. Ghee, I wish we lived closer so we could see all of you more. Rachel and Sarah Amelia and so precious and are growing up so fast. I do appreciate you posting their pictures so we can keep up with them. Love you so much, Ruth! Do you all get to come home Thanksgiving/Christmas?
Thanks! It is looking like we will be home for Thanksgiving
Oh how sweet and photogenic she is! Love that adorable smile!
Thanks! I am need to post some more “Sarah” blogs b/c she is doing fun stuff now!
These pictures are adorable, as well as the one on Facebook. Your kids are beautiful – and why not I say…with a beautiful mom and handsome dad how could they be anything else? Of course, there’s a few grandparents, aunts and cousins who have aided the gene pool a bit I guess. You guys are blessed – well, all of us are blessed with these children, please keep the pictures coming!
thanks! This may sound bad, but I used to tell Bryan that we weren’t attractive enough to have a pretty little girl like Rachel. Now – I am even more surprised! LOL! We are so lucky to have 2 sweet little girls.
